qdrant-query-points-over-search
qdrant-client REMOVED client.search() in 1.18+ - write against query_points (available since ~1.10) so code survives client upgrades.

Writing or maintaining Python Qdrant client code, or pinning qdrant-client versions.
Preconditions
- Code targets qdrant-client Python >= 1.10
Do this
Use client.query_points(...) for searches; pin 'qdrant-client>=1.10'; grep for legacy client.search() calls during upgrades.
What you should see
Searches keep working across client versions including 1.18+.
How it fails if ignored
Legacy client.search() code breaks with AttributeError after an innocent client upgrade.
Do not use when
NOT for the REST API surface; NOT for other vector DB clients.
